Our Space Topic
The Homework challenge
We were given a homework challenge that was to make space rockets out of junk materials. There were tall rockets, small rockets, wide rockets and thin rockets and no two rockets were anything like each other. Some rockets had astronauts (aliens, Tim Peake, toy cows) but many didn’t have astronauts in them. Some rockets were covered in stickers and others tissue paper but they all looked amazing!
On October 6th, Kirkbean Primary School held a Coffee Afternoon in aid of the SSPCA. The children chose this charity as part of their animal welfare topic. The grand total of £180 was raised and the children decided they would like to sponsor a space for a Cat, a Hedgehog, a Rabbit and a Guinea Pig. Many thanks to all who supported this Coffee Afternoon.
